2023 Homecoming Information
Homecoming Parade on 10/6:
The 2023 Cassville Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 6th. The parade is being hosted by Cassville High School Student Council. The theme is “Pink Out—Barbie Style.” Please review the information below carefully.
Route
Parade will begin on 6th Street at the Chamber of Commerce. Floats will turn left onto Main St. and travel down to the school campus, turn right onto 14th St (Kid Cat Drive), then travel in front of the JC Duncan Gymnasium and Eunice Thomas Elementary. The parade will then turn left at the field house onto the paved bus lane to the high school. The parade will end at the high school.
Timing
The parade will start at 1 p.m. Parade will end at the high school at approximately 1:45. The high school pep assembly will start around 2:00.
Viewing
Alumni, business professionals, community members and parents are invited and welcome to view the parade on Main Street between 6th and 14th Street. The parade route from 14th Street on to the high school campus will be reserved for Cassville R-IV staff and students only.
Safety
We are working in collaboration with the Cassville Police Department to ensure the safety of our students who are participating in and viewing the parade. Please note the parade route from 14th Street to the High School will not be open to the general public. General public will view the parade between 6th and 14th Street. The parade timing in the afternoon will cause traffic slowdowns and alternate routes for travelers who traditionally take Main Street from 1:00 until about 2:00.
Inclement Weather
In the event that we have less than ideal weather conditions (rain, thunderstorms, snow) the parade will be canceled.
Homecoming Court Coronation:
6:30 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium. 7 p.m. kick-off for Varsity Football vs. Springfield Catholic.
